Meet Our Team

Dr. Bettis

Dr. Bettis is originally from the South Metro Atlanta area and attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine – graduating in 2011 with her DVM. She has worked in McDonough, Griffin, and Conyers prior to purchasing her clinic here in Macon. Her interests include dermatology, oncology, chronic renal disease management, ultrasound, and a variety of surgeries. Pit bulls are her favorite dog breed, and she has 3 pitties and 2 kitties at home.

Dr. Deckert

Dr. Glenn Deckert is originally from Pennsylvania and attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1983 with his DVM. He owned a solo practice which he operated for thirty-one years in the Richmond, Virginia area. He sold his practice and moved to Georgia with his wife to be near his children and grandchildren and get away from the snow. He brings a wealth of experience to the practice, and his main interests are all types of surgery and wound management.

April

April has called Forsyth Road Animal Clinic home for 16 years. As receptionist—and the clinic’s beloved treat giver—she brightens every pet’s visit. Her three furbabies, Dunkin, Chewie, and Muffin, have stolen her heart. In her free time, she enjoys baking, gardening, and making lasting memories with her family. A lifelong animal lover, April takes joy in helping every pet that comes through the door.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie is a hardworking, upbeat team player who shows up every day with a positive attitude. When she’s not at work, she’s usually at a metal show soaking in live music and good vibes. At home, she’s a dedicated dog mom to three adorable Dachshunds—Charlie, Toby, and Birdie, who always keep life exciting. Whether she’s cheering on her favorite band or relaxing with her pups, Mackenzie brings passion, energy, and heart to everything she does.

Shannon

Shannon is a dedicated hard worker who somehow manages to balance it all with a smile. At home, she’s a proud pet parent to her furbaby Mia Stella, who keeps life full of love, snuggles, and plenty of personality. When she’s not giving her all at work, Shannon enjoys spending time at home relaxing and making memories with her daughter. Shannon brings warmth, reliability, and genuine heart to everything she does.

Jeremy

Jeremy is our kennel tech

His interests include PC Gaming, Traveling, and trying his best to stay fit and healthy! When he is not working here he is out working his other business of detailing cars.
